It’s important to understand that you are purchasing our time, expertise, and labor, not a tangible product with a guaranteed outcome. Similar to hiring an architect or a lawyer, you pay for the professional service itself. Once work has begun, our team’s time has been dedicated and cannot be reclaimed.

General Eligibility for Refunds

Due to the custom nature of our work, we generally do not offer refunds once a service has been initiated and work has commenced. However, we are committed to fairness in the following specific circumstances:

Service Not Initiated: If you cancel a service before any work has begun (for example, before your manuscript has been assigned to an editor or a designer has started a concept), you may be eligible for a full or partial refund, minus a 5% administrative fee.

Service Non-Delivery: If, for any reason, we are unable to deliver the service you purchased (e.g., a catastrophic system failure or unforeseen closure), you will receive a full 100% refund.

Service-Specific Policies

Book Editing Services (Developmental, Line, Proofreading):

Editing is a collaborative, subjective process. We do not offer refunds based on subjective dissatisfaction with editorial suggestions or style. However, if the delivered work demonstrably fails to meet the specific criteria outlined in your service agreement (e.g., a proofreading job that misses a significant number of errors), we will undertake a thorough review. Our solution will be to re-edit the manuscript at no extra cost until the agreed-upon standard is met. A partial refund may be considered only if the service cannot be satisfactorily remedied.

Book Cover and Interior Formatting/Design:

The design process is iterative and includes a set number of revisions. Refunds are not available once initial concepts have been delivered and the revision process has begun. If you are unsatisfied with the initial design concepts before any revisions are made, we will work diligently with you to reassign the project to a new designer or discuss a partial credit toward another service.

Book Publishing Packages (including ISBN, Distribution, etc.):

Many components of our publishing packages, such as ISBN acquisition and distributor account setup, are third-party fees that we pay on your behalf. These fees are non-refundable once processed. If you cancel a publishing package, you will be refunded for any unused services (e.g., unstarted marketing campaigns), minus the cost of services already rendered and non-refundable third-party fees.

Marketing and Promotion Services (e.g., SEO, Blog Tours, Advertising):

These services rely on the allocation of time and budget over a specific campaign period. Once a campaign is launched, the budget is spent and cannot be retrieved. Therefore, refunds are not available for marketing services once the campaign has started. We provide detailed plans and forecasts upfront to ensure alignment before any funds are committed.
